The Lightnin Classic mixers have consistently evolved and improved over the years. These upgrades have provided our customers with enhanced mixer performance and improved process results. Now, the Enhanced Classic Line (ECL) portable mixers offer an even stronger and more flexible product. Never has there been a range of portable mixers that offer such high quality and value. The ECL product range is designed to meet OSHA, CE, and ATEX standards. Available Configurations: The ECL portable mixers are available in the following types

Maintenance-Free Operation: They provide maintenance-free operation with the following features:
- All shaft bearings are sealed for life.
- Gears are synthetic grease lubricated for continuous lifetime service.
For a wide range of mixing applications, there are both direct-drive and gear-drive mixers available. Direct-drive mixers are recommended for dispersing powders and small-batch mixing, while gear-drive mixers offer two lower speeds and higher torque for larger batches and varying viscosities. The mixers also feature larger output shaft bearings for longer shafts and extended lifespan. A positive chuck grips the mixer shaft to prevent unintentional shaft release. Motor options include:
- Electric Motors: A variety of enclosures, single or three-phase options, multiple voltages, and severe-duty choices are available.
- Air motors: Safe for use in flammable or explosive environments at ambient temperatures up to 250°F (120°C). They come with a built-in speed adjustment, an air control valve, and an option for non-lubricated vanes. Additional options include air filters, lubricators, and pressure regulators.
The ECL portable mixers offer the following mounting options: Portable Mounting Options:
- A Finite Elements Analysis designed for heavy-duty clamp assembly provides maximum strength.
- The cup plate option offers a more permanent mounting.
- Clear index allows for repeatable positioning.
- Four-point clamp action for a secure hold on the tank.
Fixed Mount Options
- Remote Tachometer provides an LCD display of the mixer's output speed. A 4 to 20 mA output signal is available.
- Angle riser available on open tank units for off-center positioning of the mixer.
- Closed tank flange options - ANSI 150lbs. and DIN-PN10 solid stainless steel flange as standard. Oversized and sanitary options available upon request.
- ECL Mixers provide maintenance-free operation.
- All shaft bearings are sealed for life.
- Gears are synthetic grease lubricated for continuous lifetime service.
- A mixer-duty motor with standard mounting allows for various speed and enclosure variations.
- The aluminum housing is designed for high strength and low weight.
- The unique motor coupling protects the gearing from shock torque loads and increases motor bearing life.
- Two interchangeable planetary gear ratios provide more output speeds and increased process flexibility. Direct drive is also available.
- Large output shaft bearings allow for longer allowable shaft lengths and long life.
- Multiple bearing seals prevent leakage of lubricant.
- The safe positive chuck design prevents the shaft from disconnecting unless intentionally released. All hardware is captive to the chuck, preventing loss.
- A convenient clamp indexing and locking system ensures precise, repeatable positioning for your unique application.
- The strong, rugged clamp includes slotted stabilizing wings and four-point clamping for a secure hold on the tank.
- The A310 model is designed to produce excellent flow and process results with less power consumption compared to other axial flow impellers.
