High Water Alarms
Johnson Pump Bilge Alert High Water Alarms signal rising water levels in the bilge by the way of a loud alarm (100 db) and a warning light on the control panel. Combined with the Ultima Switch Mirrus effect Technology, it can automatically detect the presence of high water levels and sounds the alarm to alert you to take action.
Bilge Alert - High Water Alarm with Ultima Switch
High Water Alarm with Ultima Switch featuring digital technology using the patented Mirus field effect. Totally sealed fluid detector is never in contact with water, will not corrode and is not affected by oil or debris. Bilge Alert detects water and sends a signal (3 seconds delay) to the alarm and switch conveniently mounted on a panel. Three way rocker switch allows alarm to be tested, turned off and armed (Test-Off-Armed).
- Ultima Switch activates the Bilge Pump at a 50 mm (2") fluid level and deactivates at a 20 mm (3/4") fluid level. An eight second delay prevents false starts
- Ultima Switch is rated to handle all Johnson Pump submersible pumps up to 20 amps at 12V and 10 amps at 24V
- No moving parts
- Totally sealed solid state electronics and field detectors
- Environmentally sensitive, no mercury
- No exposed sensors eliminate corrosion possibilities
- Unique 3-way switch disables piezo alarm while keeping warning LED lit
- Meets ISO 8846
- Limited 3 Year Warranty

Bilge Alert - High Water Alarm with Sensor
The Bilge Alert high water detection alarm utilizes the patented Mirus™ field effect technology to detect presence of liquid. The detector is highly reliable, durable and takes advantage of advanced sensor technology. Totally sealed fluid detectors are never in contact with water, will not corrode and are not affected by oil or debris. The detector activates an alarm of 100 db after a delay of 8 seconds after being exposed to water. Three way rocker switch allows alarm to be tested, turned off and armed (Test-Off-Armed).
The Bilge Alert sensor should be mounted on the bulkhead, stringer, inner transom or hull of your boat above the normal operating level of your automatic float switch, but below the level of critical components of your boat and/or engine; such as the starter.
- The sensor measures a small 26 mm wide x 64 mm long x 5 mm thick (1.04 x 2.5 x 0.2 in) which makes it very easy to mount
- No moving parts
- Totally sealed solid state electronics and field detectors
- Environmentally sensitive, no mercury
- No exposed sensors eliminate corrosion possibilities
- Unique 3-way switch disables piezo alarm while keeping warning LED lit
- Meets ISO 8846
- Limited 3 Year Warranty

Field effect detector cells - Mirus - are composed of an active device and an electrode surrounded by a second electrode. The applied circuit creates an electric field around the cell. When a dielectric material (such as bilge water) interrupts the field the active device responds by outputting a signal. In the case of the Bilge Alert, this signal is used to sound a loud (100db) alarm and light a warning lamp on the control panel.
