Anhydro Pilot Plate Evaporators – Efficient Concentration of Liquid Extracts

Anhydro Pilot Plate Evaporators are designed to concentrate small batches of extracts or other liquid products based on water or ethanol solvents. For other organic solvents (e.g., chlorinated solvents), the sealing material must be adapted. The concentration rate is limited by the viscosity of the concentrated liquid, up to approximately 500 cP. The plant is used for the concentration of water or organically dissolved extracts and consists of a plate evaporator with a downstream centrifugal separator. The evaporated vapors are condensed in a plate condenser, and a vacuum pump is connected to the condenser, allowing vacuum levels to be adjusted between 20 and 800 mbar.

Temperature-Sensitive Processing

The evaporation temperature can be regulated according to the product-specific boiling curve through the applied vacuum, enabling the concentration of even temperature-sensitive extracts.
